Biography
Alex Perwich joined Meyer Van Severen as a criminal defense attorney in October of 2016. Since joining the firm, Attorney Perwich has been able to obtain favorable results in a variety of criminal matters. No matter how serious the offense is, Attorney Perwich brings the same determination and dedication to each case so he can put clients in a position to obtain the best possible outcome in his or her particular situation.
Attorney Perwich grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Georgia in 2011, and his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2016.
While at Marquette, Attorney Perwich excelled in three areas crucial for being an effective criminal defense attorney: research, writing and oral advocacy. He had the privilege of competing in the 2015 Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition, and was subsequently selected to compete in the 2016 National Appellate Advocacy Competition. It was through these competitions that Attorney Perwich developed an interest in defending the constitutional rights that are often implicated in criminal proceedings.
Attorney Perwich was also a member of the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review. His law review work was selected for publication and ultimately chosen as the best intellectual property law comment in the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Writing Competition.
