If she is not passionately advocating for her clients, you will probably find Avita Samaroo volunteering with her family or strolling the local art galleries of Central Florida. After just one meeting with Avita, it’s clear to see that she exudes creativity and passion. It’s those same qualities that she has taken with her to Samaroo Law. Attorney Samaroo recently left a coveted position at a well-known law firm and founded Samaroo Law with a simple premise in mind – each case is unique and each client deserves to have their story heard.
“What distinguishes a really great personal injury attorney is creativity. We are essentially storytellers; we have to be able to tell our clients’ stories in a way that the other side can make sense of.”
Attorney Samaroo explains that the best way to handle a personal injury case is to treat it like it’s going to trial from day one. And while most cases do not go to trial, that sort of trial-mindedness often yields better results at the settlement table. In addition to her legal degree, Attorney Samaroo has also earned a degree in Fine Arts and an MBA in Marketing Management. Her diverse educational background has been the catalyst to her unique ability to think outside-the-box and unwind complex legal issues with creativity.
Attorney Samaroo is not just a high-achieving working woman and well-respected attorney, she is also a wife and mother of two. The New York born daughter of a United States Air Force Captain, grew up in Central Florida and is now raising her own family here. “Over the past thirty years, I’ve seen this community develop from vast orange groves to the metropolis that it is today. With this type of growth comes a lot of responsibility.”
Attorney Samaroo takes her role as a community leader seriously. She and her husband, Mahendra, are actively involved with several local charities and they instill those same values in their children. Her eyes lit up when she told me a story about her family. Last holiday season, Samaroo and her husband tasked their eight and ten year old with the project of finding someone that needed something and giving it to them. She was impressed when her children choose a local homeless man known as Snoop. They had just learned that Snoop was evicted from his home and living on the street. “One of my proudest moments as a mother was when my children told me that they were going to buy Snoop a house.”
While they weren’t able to buy Snoop a house, the family provided food and shelter for him for several weeks. They worked
together and found Snoop a steady job and a home that he could afford to call his own. The Samaroo family’s commitment to making a difference in the community and they way they go about it about it is inspiring to say the least.
Despite her professional and personal
achievements, Attorney Samaroo is surprisingly humble in nature. “Though I have accomplished much in my life, I see every day as opportunity for more – to learn more, to achieve more, to contribute more.” Avita Samaroo’s values of persistence and determination echo through everything she does weather it be work related or personal. She has maintained an exceptional reputation for client focused professional service and is taking that philosophy to new heights at Samaroo Law.
