While the complete internal review took more than four and a half months, the company began informing some data breach victims at an earlier date than that. The first patients received their letters of notification on April 11th, 2023, close to two months and a week after the date of discovery.

However, ITx did not make the breach fully public until filing with the Attorney General of Maine on June 8th, 2023. Ultimately, this was more than four months after the company discovered the breach.
