Biography

Anthony M. Vassallo is an attorney who has devoted his entire legal career to representing individuals and corporate entities as debtors, creditors or trustees in both corporate and personal bankruptcy proceedings including some of the largest bankruptcy proceedings filed in the United States.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Vassallo was a judicial law clerk for 2 years for the Hon. Tina L. Brozman, former Chief Judge of United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

After completing his clerkship, over the next 10 years he was associated with nationally renowned bankruptcy departments at three law firms: Willkie Farr & Gallagher, LLP, Togut Segal & Segal, LLP, and Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe, LLP. Later, Mr. Vassallo also worked for 2 years as in-house counsel for a major financial institution managing a nationwide portfolio of 150 active consumer bankruptcies involving mortgage loan issues.

In 2013, Mr. Vassallo opened a private practice to represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 proceedings and financial restructuring matters.

Mr. Vassallo graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Latin and history and obtained his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
