Biography

Matthew Jones is an Attorney in the firm’s Chicago office focusing his practice on Employment and Labor. He defends claims of employment discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment in state and federal courts and before state and federal agencies. Additionally, he counsels employers in all aspects of employment law including employee handbooks and policies, noncompete and confidentiality agreements, overtime obligations, and employee leave rights.

Matt also represents clients in commercial contract matters, complex insurance coverage disputes, and general civil litigation involving products liability, construction, director and officer liability, and property damage.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While attending law school, Matt was a member of the National ABA Moot Court Team and served as a staff editor for Loyola’s Annals of Health Law Journal. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Honors Scholarship for all three years of attendance and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Advocacy.
