Biography
I am an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. I am interested in the intersection of law, technology, and society. Presently, I work as an associate attorney at Lempia Summerfield Katz LLC focusing on patent prosecution matters for clients in the following technology spaces: business methods; trading systems; network and internet communication; navigation and routing; medical imaging; and medical devices. I am extremely interested in bitcoin/blockchain technologies.
During law school I gained experience working in the legal department for a large multi-national technology company, externing for a federal magistrate judge, and working as a law clerk for multiple Chicago based law firms.
Prior to law school I was an election professional in Leon County, Florida where I worked for the Supervisor of Elections office administering elections during the entirety of the 2008 and 2010 election cycles. While at the election office I gained experience in all aspects of absentee voting, voter registration, voter awareness, and voter outreach activities.
