Biography
Stuart Austin has handled thousands of criminal cases. He is an adjunct professor at the SUNY Buffalo Law School where he lectures on trial techniques and strategy. He has taught criminal justice courses online for the University of Phoenix and has been invited to lecture by many organizations. Mr. Austin was a Legal Aid attorney for over 12 years, he has successfully represented over 3000 clients and trained attorneys at the Legal Aid Society in all areas of litigation and plea negotiations. His practice concentrates in the area of criminal law. Just as you wouldn’t bring a Ferrari to just any mechanic, don’t trust your criminal representation to just anyone.
Stuart Austin is a partner with Austin Law Associates, PC, a Long Island Criminal Law Firm. Prior to founding Austin Law Associates, Mr. Austin spent 13 years with the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County; serving first as a Trial Attorney and then Deputy Bureau Chief. Mr. Austin was previously an on-line professor with the University of Phoenix. He has also served as an adjunct member of the University at Buffalo Law School for the past eleven years teaching courses related to criminal jury selection.
Mr. Austin is on the Board of Directors of the Criminal Courts Bar Association. He is a current member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the Nassau County Bar Association. He is often consulted by other attorneys on the Nassau County civil forfeiture statute. Mr. Austin received his J.D. degree from University at Buffalo Law School and is a graduate of Cornell University.
