Biography

Terry Fox is a Partner in the firm’s Chicago office focusing his practice on Employment and Labor. Terry has extensive experience advocating for employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and Illinois Human Rights Commission, Cook County Human Rights Commission, and in federal and state trial and appellate courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Terry was a partner at a firm in Chicago where his practice focused primarily on litigation of Employment, Insurance Coverage, and Construction disputes. Terry is knowledgeable in E-Discovery issues, having counseled clients on the impact of information systems on litigation. He has obtained injunctive relief against terminated employees to stop post-termination contact through internal communication networks. In close conjunction with employment issues, Terry is involved in insurance coverage, policy drafting, and other risk transfer strategies. Additionally, Terry has over 15 years of experience in residential and commercial construction disputes.

Prior to entering law school, Terry was an Office and Field Adjuster for all product lines including personal and commercial property and casualty insurance with Federated Mutual Insurance Company. Terry is also a contributor to The Labor & Employment Law Update blog.

Terry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa State University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from University of Iowa and is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois.
