FAQ:
Q: Is it free to setup an account?
A: Yes, it is completely FREE. You pay absolutely nothing to use the website. All you have to do is sign up, which is a quick and easy process.
Q: How do I find the business lawyer that is right for me?
A: Once you have an account, you can find the right attorney for you one of two ways. You can post a summary of your legal need so attorneys can review and submit applications directly to you for that job, or you can search for attorneys using criteria such as location of the legal need, area of law involved, and price.
Q: Which way is better—searching for an attorney or posting a legal need?
A: It is all about preference. If you are willing to search for attorneys, contact the attorneys that seem to be a good fit, find out their rates, and see if they are interested in representing you, then searching for an attorney could work for you. However, if you would rather post a quick summary of your legal need and have attorneys come to you, that will likely cut down on the time and hassle it will take for you to evaluate and find the attorney that is right for you.
Q: How do I post a legal need?
A: Once you have logged into your free Legal Services Link account, you can post legal needs from the website Homepage or your Client Homepage. From the website Homepage, click the “Post a Legal Need” button, and from the Client Homepage, click on “Manage Jobs” at the top of the page and then “Post a Need” below. You will be directed to a form that will help you summarize and post your legal need. Please fill out the form to the best of your ability, add any additional questions you would like attorneys applying for the job to answer, attach any documentation you believe attorneys should review in applying for your job, and submit the job posting for review by all attorneys interested in your job. You should not share any sensitive information when posting a legal need. The job posting is not privileged or confidential, and can be reviewed by any attorney who has a Legal Services Link account. Accordingly, you should not include names, contact information, social security numbers, information that may implicate you in a crime or expose you to civil or criminal liability, or any other sensitive information in your job posting.
